Why do we ship sensors at the end of the project?

mSense room comfort sensors require programming, which is best done when the system has been fully configured and installed. Each sensor must be assigned an mSense address with an internal dip switch.

mSense room comfort sensors are sensitive instruments with vulnerable RH and VOC sensors that can easily become contaminated with dust or paint on the job site (if installed prior to painting).

The installation kit is sent at the beginning of the project, which includes an O-in™ adapter sleeve, a plug connector, and a mudding/painting O-in™ protection cap. Once the installation kit is properly installed, mSense can be quickly inserted into the sleeve with Messana’s O-in™ technology.
